WordPress and WooCommerce
Install the Hermeticor plugin to show your forms and track visits on WordPress, with WooCommerce cart rules.
The Hermeticor plugin loads the same script as the install snippet, so you do not edit your theme. It shows your published forms, places inline forms with a block or a shortcode, and keeps the WooCommerce cart up to date for form cart rules.
What you need first
A site in Hermeticor (Sites → Add site) and its site key. The key starts with
hm_pk_and is shown once, when you add the site.WordPress 6.3 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.
1. Install the plugin
Download hermeticor-wordpress.zip. Sites → Install → WordPress has the same link.
In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the zip and click Install Now.
Activate it.
2. Add your site key
Open Settings → Hermeticor.
Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
Site key | Your |
Endpoint |
|
Consent mode | Require consent (default): nothing is stored or sent until the visitor allows analytics. Opt out: on until the visitor declines. No consent banner: always on. |
Load Hermeticor on the front end | Turn it off to pause everything without losing the settings. |
Show published forms | Popups, fly-outs and inline forms. |
Identify logged-in users | Off by default. When on, a logged-in user's email is sent, and only after they allow marketing. |
Save, load a page of your site, then click Check install on the site in Hermeticor.
3. Place an inline form
Popups and fly-outs show on their own once published, following their targeting. An inline form needs a place on the page:
Block editor: add the Hermeticor form block and enter the form ID.
Anywhere else: use the shortcode.
[hermeticor_form id="0198a1b2-7c3d-7e4f-8a5b-6c7d8e9f0a1b"]The form ID is the last part of the form editor's address in Hermeticor (/forms/<id>). The form must be the Embedded type and published. An invalid ID shows a note to editors and nothing to visitors.
WooCommerce
When WooCommerce is active, the plugin passes the cart total and item count to Hermeticor on every page and after each cart update, so form cart rules ("cart value over 50", "cart has items") work without code. The cart stays in the visitor's browser; it is not sent to Hermeticor.
Consent
The plugin never sends anything the consent mode does not allow. If your cookie banner supports the WP Consent API, the visitor's statistics and marketing choices are passed on. With any other banner, call this when the visitor decides:
hermetica.consent.update({ analytics: true, marketing: false })See Unsubscribe and suppression for how consent works in Hermeticor.
Remove it
Deactivate and delete the plugin. Deleting it removes its settings.
